Verana Health Adds AI Agents for Life Sciences Research

Verana Health, a digital health company revolutionizing patient care and clinical research, has introduced Agent Claire for Life Sciences, a set of disease-specific AI agents designed to accelerate research using the company's real-world data.

Researchers can ask questions in natural language, with the agent creating an execution plan and checking it against clinical guardrails. The system returns patient distributions, treatment patterns, and outcomes data without requiring users to write queries or depend on analysts.

Agent Claire is available across Verana Health datasets covering oncology, ophthalmology, and urology. Potential users include medical affairs, market access, health economics and outcomes research teams, and brand managers.

For more complex research, the agent can construct multistep query strategies. Results include the underlying query logic and SQL output, allowing data scientists to validate analyses before findings are used more broadly.

Agent Claire also supports Model Context Protocol, enabling integration with AI systems including Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot.
