Veeva Adds Falcon Router for Agentic Triage for Medical Reports

Veeva Systems, a provider of cloud software for the life sciences industry, has introduced Falcon Router, an AI agent designed to automate the triage and routing of reports received by biopharmaceutical companies.

The agent identifies potential adverse event reports, product quality complaints, and medical inquiries, then routes the information to the appropriate team. Its initial focus will be email and web-based intake, including submissions through Veeva Ostro.

Depending on the report, Falcon Router can send information directly to Veeva Safety, Veeva QMS, Veeva MedInquiry, or designated inboxes. Veeva says the process is intended to eliminate manual reconciliation between intake channels and downstream systems.

The product targets a workflow that can become more complex as life sciences companies add products and expand into additional regions. Reports arriving through different channels must be identified and directed to the correct specialists, particularly when they involve potential safety events or product complaints.

For enterprise technology teams in regulated industries, automating this process places additional importance on traceability and reliable routing. Agentic systems handling safety-related information need clearly defined workflows and controls so organizations can determine how incoming information was classified and where it was sent.

Falcon Router is part of Veeva's Falcon Agent Suite and is scheduled for early adopter availability in January 2027.
