Kyndryl to Acquire Healthcare IT Leaders to Expand Health Care Consulting Business

Kyndryl, a leading provider of mission‑critical enterprise technology services, has agreed to acquire Healthcare IT Leaders LLC, expanding its capabilities in health care technology consulting and implementation. The acquisition will enable Kyndryl to more effectively address growing customer demand for its AI‑led business modernization across healthcare providers and payors by leveraging Healthcare IT Leaders’ healthcare consulting and application managed services expertise.

Healthcare IT Leaders provides consulting and managed services to health care organizations, with expertise spanning electronic health records, enterprise applications, cloud, data and analytics. Kyndryl plans to combine those capabilities with its infrastructure services and consulting business to address modernization projects across health care providers.

The transaction gives Kyndryl additional industry-specific expertise as hospitals and other providers contend with aging technology, interoperability requirements and growing investments in cloud and AI. Health care modernization can be particularly complex because organizations must integrate clinical systems while maintaining security, regulatory compliance and continuous availability.

For enterprise IT leaders, the deal reflects continued consolidation among services providers seeking deeper vertical expertise. Infrastructure modernization increasingly requires knowledge of the applications, data and regulatory requirements specific to an industry rather than infrastructure skills alone. The transaction is expected to be completed during the second quarter of Kyndryl’s fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory review.
