Cognizant, an AI builder and technology services provider, has expanded its TriZetto Unify platform to support AI agents, enabling healthcare organizations to apply automation and intelligent workflows across operational and patient-facing processes. The new headless API model treats AI agents as first-tier consumers of TriZetto Unify, Cognizant's platform strategy that spans payer and provider workflows. Electronic Prior Authorization is the first solution to go live, following the rollout of TriZetto Assistant and TriZetto Autonomous Workflow Agents to existing customers.

The platform will allow AI agents to interact with healthcare data and systems to assist with tasks such as care coordination, claims processing, member services, and administrative operations.
