Onymos Enhances DocKnow Document Processing Tool with AI Innovations for Healthcare

Onymos, a developer of software components for SaaS and application development, has unveiled an upgraded version of its document processing tool, DocKnow, with a focus on addressing critical needs in the healthcare industry. The updated tool integrates customizable large language models (LLMs) and offers enhanced user-friendly features to streamline data extraction and validation processes.

DocKnow utilizes advanced optical character recognition (OCR) to handle a wide range of healthcare documents, including both structured and unstructured formats. This includes extracting information from handwritten medical records, printed forms, barcodes, QR codes, and patient intake checkboxes. Designed with healthcare providers in mind, DocKnow simplifies the management of complex patient data and integrates seamlessly with widely used systems like electronic health records (EHRs), Salesforce, and Google Cloud, offering scalability and flexibility for healthcare environments.

The latest updates aim to support healthcare professionals by improving data accuracy, reducing manual processing errors, and enhancing workflows essential for patient care.

Key Updates in the Latest Release:

Customizable LLM Integration: The new API allows businesses to train their own language models using proprietary data, offering tailored solutions for domain-specific document processing tasks. This feature enhances accuracy, particularly for complex document reviews.

AI Assistant "Doc": The introduction of an AI-powered assistant provides users with quick search capabilities, enabling fast access to specific information within multi-page documents.

Enhanced User Interface: The updated UI includes features like automatic zoom, image enhancement, and skew correction, alongside customization options for branding and functionality alignment with enterprise systems.

Shiva Nathan, CEO of Onymos, explained that the updates aim to address common challenges in document management, such as inefficiencies and inaccuracies in manual data entry. "By enabling enterprises to deploy LLMs specific to their operations, DocKnow helps overcome issues like AI hallucinations and outdated training data, ensuring precise and secure data processing," Nathan said in a statement.

The platform adheres to Onymos' no-data architecture, the company says, ensuring that all enterprise data remains within the customer's control, with no transfer to Onymos servers.
