Snowflake Debuts Healthcare Cloud Data Offering

This week cloud data provider Snowflake announced the launch of a new cloud platform specifically crafted for the health care and life science market.

The company's Healthcare & Life Sciences Data Cloud, officially announced March 17, offers health care companies "a single, integrated, and cross-cloud data platform that eliminates technical and institutional data silos."

Current customers include Anthem, Spectrum Health, Siemens Healthineers and IQVIA, among others.

"Expanding health data volumes, increasing usage of artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics in medical innovation, and the digitalization of the healthcare value chain are impacting the healthcare industry. Organizations have an accelerated need for an agile, interoperable, and secure data solution, which Snowflake is delivering," the company said of the new offering.

More details on what the solution offers can be found here.

Snowflake currently offers cloud data platforms customized for a variety of other sectors, including financial, government, education and public sector.

A free 30-day trial of the company's data platform is available.
